El-Shekinah Article
THE FULL ARTICLE OF EL-SHEKINAH MINISTRIES 20015 EL-SHEKINAH MINISTRIES: MEANING OF EL-SHEKINAH MINISTRIES EL-Shekinah is formed from two words “EL” which means “God” and Shekinah which means visible Glory of God; the settling and abiding presence of God. Had several encounter with different men at different times to has built me up spiritually. BSc. Industrial Chemistry (2010), Admin Director Tangerine Multi-projects Ltd. (2015) The word of God is my motivation, “All Things Are Possible To Him That Believes” mind-set is my driving force. I believe that: I am who God says I am, I have what He says I have and I can do what He says I can do. Zec 12:8 and 1john 4;17 among many others are my key scriptures. I strongly believe that everything God can do, a man can do in this world. My goals in life are: To fulfill all that God has called me to do, To be the greatest preacher ever known in terms of Impact and Influence, in Prosperity, Power and Knowledge of the Kingdom. My great expectation is: To hold several open air crusades in Saudi Arabia and other UAE countries; establishing the kingdom everywhere on earth. THE CHURCH TODAY The bible remains Gods blue print for man’s existence on earth. It contains everything man should do and expect on this side of life. From the bible we can tell the end of a thing from its beginning, we can solve hard puzzles and answer difficult questions about life that science has no clue on. This book actually contains words that are THE TRUE LIGHT, of which if any man will leave by them, he will never work in darkness in any aspect, nor suffer defeat in any ramification of life. God has made it abundantly clear in His word, his intention for this time, which is the revelation of the fullness of his glory, to perfect (mature) the saints (Christians). The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former... hag 2;9 ...the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory...by reason of the glory that excels. 2cor 3:9-10. This is the time of the fullness of Gods glory. We are not expecting the revival of the end time again, we are experiencing it. We are living expressions of the glory of the father, the tangible evidence of his wisdom. We are the GOD that men can relate with today. As I consider all the heroes of faith, and the amazing life they lived, the cost of handing down their believes (legacy) to the next generation, it never ceases to inspire me. From Abel, who gave an eternal speech through his blood, to Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, Samuel... Jesus and then the Apostles. Those times seem to be the height of Christianity, then we had the dark ages, where the revelation of GOD’S word was so scarce. Religiosity had crept in, and political-Christianity was the order of the day. Amidst all these, God is faithful, and he wouldn’t leave his people without a witness. There were men (few of them) who had a little light of revelation. They had little inspiration and words form the spirit that was worth sharing. They had these convincing attitude and they were fully persuaded to the point of death. Those truths they found, one that we would consider as lower light or lesser truth, they took to be something worth dying for and many actually gave their lives for it. It was all of these revelations found by these men that has evolved to what we have today From the 14th century up until the 19th century, Christians never enjoyed the level of freedom we are enjoying now. They forth hard, prayed earnestly, preached tirelessly, worked exhaustively, for these truths. Men like William Booth, Jonathan Edwards, Wesley brothers, John Nux, Dwith L Moodey, Charles Finney and so on. For them, there was no other life apart from the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was either Christ or nothing. Though they were low on revelation knowledge compared to us, yet were they high on conviction/passion. The little revelation they had, they gave everything to make it count, and it did count! They produced several revivals, they took over several kingdoms and territories form the devil. They ensured that the kingdom of God to which they belong was established in their homes, community, society and nation at large; and God gave them good success by His Spirit. But we today, that have been handed the history and report of every generation past, so we might learn from them, what are we doing with it? We are at the peak of science knowledge, medical knowledge, political knowledge, religious knowledge and spiritual knowledge. But it seems like the more knowledge we get, the more helpless/complacent/foolish we become. The Lord has magnified his law (word) and made it truly glorious. Through it he had planned to show the world that he is righteous, but what a sight his people are these who were to demonstrate to all the world the glory of his law (word); for they are robbed enslaved imprisoned trapped fair game for all without no one to protect them. Won’t even one of you apply these lessons from the past and see the ruin that awaits you up ahead? Isaiah 42:21-23(TLB). Many have reduced Christianity to a mere religion by their tradition, they have made the word of God of none effect, sick, beggarly, helpless, broken and poor. Like students, they have acquired all the knowledge thought in the class room, but cannot apply it. The real proof of knowledge is in the result of it application; They lack wisdom. Thanks be unto God who has given us his spirit by which we are able to hear his voice and see the intention of his heart for this time. The whole of creation waits for the manifestation of the (matured) sons of God, question is: how long would they wait? The Christian life is not a low, beggarly and broke life with several ups and downs. It is an in-corruptible life of glory and dominion, full of victory and success. It’s a life of upward and forward movement (not stagnant) every day, every time and everywhere. There is one church in heaven; “church of the first born” Hebrew 12:22-24. Having different denominations on earth is ok for several good reasons, but we should wake up to the truth that we are members of one body, and that we have one faith and one Lord. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed (romans 13:11-14) Since every Christian believes in the word of God (bible), we have an ultimate responsibility (goal) from the bible, which is to grow to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Eph 4:12-13), for that is the only way to exercise our dominion on earth. Growing to maturity is one of the main reasons why we are here on earth, it should be our respective focus and personal pursuit. If we stay focused on what God has kept us here to do, we would have less time for criticism and back-stabbing one another, being ignorant of the fact that we are members of the same body. Unity would be a ready-made thing, because of our common focus. The level of denominational discrimination among churches today is a revelation of childishness, spiritual immaturity and ignorance. Thus, let us wake up from religion and childishness, and face our responsibility in Christ. It is God’s intention for us at this time to exercise full dominion in every aspect of life (health, finance, family, career, society and so on). Jesus and all of the heroes of faith listed above did not suffer and die to produce complacent and beggarly Christians. We are the men of the end, the generation of the rapture and the rapture is not an escape route from the world, it is the result of victory over the world! God designed in his master plan for the church at this time to carry the fullness of his glory and manifest it to the world. We are the ones to do that. ONILENLA RAPHAEL BECOMING A VESSEL UNTO HONOUR. A Vessel: may be defined as a large ship or boat, a container, like a Bronze Age drinking vessel. Honour: IS to have great respect and admiration for (something) someone. Becoming is a process of transformation or change. In this context of the “vessel of honour” I will like to say that: it’s a respected and admired container carrying or containing the anointing. Everyone (Christian) has a measure of the anointing, and we as an individual are vessel; container carrying the anointing and through whom the kingdom of God will be established on earth and God himself will be glorified through us. You have grace already for whatever assignment or purpose that has been given to you. God can always give visions personally and confirmed his promises/prophecies through people and he will never fail in keeping and bringing the Word spoken to you (Rhema) to pass. But because God has spoken does not mean it will automatically come to be. You as a person, the carrier of the vision must do your part; fan to flames so as not to die on the way. No one can kill your vision but you and you also have the ability to continually rekindle the fire. However, we must also note that there are ways which can make the vessel to start leaking and things that can make the content of the vessel become stale and stinking: I call these things the little foxes in our lives. Song of Solomon 2:15 this things saps the anointing, they are like dross in our silver. Proverb25:4. Take away the dross from our silver and there shall come forth a vessel for the refiner. Dross: is something of low quality, the least valuable part of something. A waste substance especially, that are separated from a metal after been melted with fire. What are those little things you have things you ought to have worked on when your spirit became regenerated. You were supposed to work out your salvation, taking conscious effort to renew your mind Rom 12:2, Eph 4:23 you can still release yourself to the purifier and let him purge you let him take you through the fire so that the dross can be removed. Doing the following can help The most important of all is to increase your fellowship with him by: 1. Studying the Word 2Tim 2:15 “Study to show yourself approve………. “ Ps 119:105, Ps 19:14, 119:11, 119:16, 119:130 2. Pray in the Spirit always: edify your spirit man Jude 1:20 , Eph 6:18 Finally make sure you do things the way he will want it done. Phil 2:5 SHALOM!!! SAMUEL ADEDEJI Adewunmi Samuel Adedeji, born on July 12th, fr0om Kwara State and Single I believe strongly: isa 42:6—7 and phil 2:9-10. My best scriptures are: Psa 82:6 and matt 7:12 [Do unto others what you want others to do unto you] What drives me is: Purpose Career Profile: A graduate of Banking and Finance worked at Fidelity bank plc and also as personal assistant to Iyaloja general (Shade Tinubu –Ojo) presently the church Administrator of RCCG court of his majesty zone LP 12 Region 1, Helping Hands International (NGO) Ministry Profile: A once Coordinator of Banker’s association fellowship on campus, NCCF Edo State prayer secretary 2011 Batch A, Once HOD deliverance Rhema Chapel International Headquarter, A member of sharp threshers Global outreach with Headquarter in Ilorin, HOD Music EL-Shekinah Ministries. My aspiration is: To fulfill purpose (living as a terror to the kingdom of hell) My expectation is to do Greater works (terrible works in righteousness happening through me) A SHAPED LIFE A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a Flourishing tree. Proverb 11:28 This scripture gives a clear illustration, anyone who devotes his life to the dictates of his wealth confidence of his good look, degree of his intelligence, competence and eloquence lives a dead life; a meaningless life. No man has ever fulfilled his kingdom mandate by amassing riches and abilities for his own pleasure. The reason is: those qualities are human and man has the continuous ability to surpass history and records. Read the wisdom of the richest king of Israel, King Solomon in Eccl 1:1-11 The life we live does not consist in the abundance of the things we possess, neither is it an accumulation of the title we bear. The most important duty of man is to radiate the beauty and the glory of his God. The God of kind life draws relevance in fulfillment rather than in possessions. TOLULOPE OYEDIRAN BELIEVING GOD AND KNOWING GOD Once upon a time, a kind of Knowledge reigned in the days of saints like Job. By that Knowledge, they: - Fetched deep words from afar and gave illustrations of the righteousness of his maker. - Guarded jealously 'The Redemption of their soul' from the corruption faced by every generation (Job 19:25) - Appreciated in the volume of 'the life of God' resident in his Soul, like we saw in Job who prompted God to boast about him as A True Servant! - Fought to reconcile the expectations of Heaven with that of the earth and attempted to close the spiritual gap between both. - Wore-out Satan through their patience and longsuffering which therefore caused their Souls to attain a state later likened to Gold (Isa. 13:12). The book of Job was therefore an account of the initiation into SONSHIP/PRIESTHOOD and his was a high dimension of 'Faith Towards God’. Job’s walk therefore challenged future generations of Christians and simply asked us if: - We would embrace the purpose of the New Testament which is meant to graduate Believers from being Children of God into becoming Sons of God 'Knowers'.1 Jn. 3:2 - We would seek their Spiritual Inheritance hidden in Ivory Palaces as described by David (Ps. 45:8) and by Apostle Paul as Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus (Eph. 1:3). Isa. 55:6/Heb. 12:17/Col. 3:2 - The Lord would succeed in resurrecting a much more supernatural lifestyle like he did with Men of Like Passion'. Acts 14:15/Jam. 5:17 - We would open up to other higher aspects of Faith Meals packaged in the epistles for the 'Salvation of The Soul' or if we would despise this order of faith because of a secret Love For This Present World. (2 Tim 4:10) - They would be at ease and neglect 'So Great A Salvation'(Heb. 2:3) which every believer must sincerely lay down his life to experience or partake of Jn. 13:37-38/1 Jn. 3:16 Scriptural references: luke 18:8, 1john 5:4, mark 11:23-24, Isa. 13:12, 2 Tim. 1:12. So, a large portion of Genesis to revelation accounts for the broadcast of both Spiritual Life and Spiritual death from the souls of men as the flow of life from the human spirit had earlier ceased in Adam and was only restored in Christ Jesus at resurrection. While the likes of Saul, Esau and Demas experienced a great depreciation of God’s life because of what they sought, believers like David kept appreciating in the degree of spiritual life in their souls. We can therefore see that the souls of man is at the mercy of seeking God for God and not seeking God for things as has been the case in this generation of ours. When we SEEK GOD FOR GOD, the Life of God journeys through our soul into our physical bodies and quicken it to the degree of life inherited by our Soul! The New Birth brought about the resurrection of our Human Spirit so it could function seamlessly with the Spirit of God in bringing to pass God's Purpose for The Soul which should fulfill His mysterious will. Rom 8:11 "But if (conditional) the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that Raised Up Christ from the dead shall also Quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwell in you (i.e. The Giving of Life to the Body via Resurrection Power is superior to Healing via Gifts of The Spirit) So the New Testament primarily has to do with The Deep Things of God which is not physical or carnal but spiritual/eternal and such things cannot be sought by the dimension of Faith we use to claim God's promises regarding our natural life. Why? Because the Soul State of such a seeker CANNOT appreciate Spiritual Things that are unseen, just like Esau who though a Hebrew, couldn't discern the value of his birthright/eternal inheritance! As a hunter, he was used to satisfying his belly (carnal appetite) while Isaac identified with the dimension of faith that could esteem/discern an unseen spiritual inheritance. The coming of A GLORIOUS CHURCH would therefore be the response of a generation of saints that would press and obtain the New Testament Spiritual Inheritance/Promises located in the glorified person called Christ Jesus! With this understanding; 1. We would appreciate why Christ said 'A man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions'. 2. We would then understand the commonwealth of spiritual Israelites that the young rich ruler actually lost out in, despite his earthly influence! 3. We would also understand why Christ had to take the lowly/meek path described as 'POOR' as a gateway to making many RICH TOWARDS GOD. 2 cor. 6:10 4. We would then comprehend that the use of the word 'things' in 1 Cor. 2:9 amongst other scriptures are actually 'the divine things of God' which could only be accessed by the company called FEW who press towards The End of The Faith, The Salvation of Our Souls. (1 Pet. 1:9) May I therefore submit that it takes purely spiritual meals and experiences, which are becoming scarce today due to the increasing demand for Ministrations surrounding Things Present/Things That Perish With Its Use. Ministrations that reveal Christ are such that would mature us in 'Better Things to Come' (Heb. 6:9) that have to do with the End of Faith. We must not repeat the history of Esau who despised an Unseen inheritance because of a 'legitimate' meal, a carnal Need, and later sought it with tears to no avail! We all have what represents a Morsel of Bread begging for our compromise and it takes the life voltage of 'The Faith of The Son' to deal with it. The faith of the Son of God also described as the faith of God’s elect (Tit. 1:1) is the actual thrust of the New Testament! Unbelievers enjoy a particular kind of rain/natural graces but there is a Latter Rain of Righteousness (Rom. 1:16) that should being us into True Riches. (Jam. 5:7) OLUWADAHUNSI OLAWALE Olawale Micheal Oluwadahunsi, from Ekiti State, born on 7th October and Engaged Ministry profile/Experience: Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) - Member The Apostolic Church Students’ Fellowship of Nigeria (TACSFON) – Editor, Life In the Word Magazine (2008-2010) Career Profile: Freelance Journalist, National Mirror Newspapers, 2015, Talents Durban (2015), British Council Culture Journalism Participant (2015), Medical Representative, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Nigeria, 2014, Georgia State University (M.Sc in View) Inspiration/motivation: Worship, Holy Spirit, Poetry. Driving Force: Agape Love Beliefs: Love, Everlasting life, Humanity Greatest expectation as believer: The Kingdom of God. I gave my heart to Christ in the year 2000, and got filled with the Holy Ghost in 2006. From then, I have grown to love Christ, discover His essence, accept His grace, and become His stature. Favorite Scripture: Romans 8:18, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” I strongly believe in: The Paraclete, the Person of the Holy Spirit, who makes the Father and the Son real to me. Goal in life: To expand the frontiers of Divinity across every shore of humanity through the ministry of Words of Wisdom. Youthfulness: Interesting, Delicate and Slippery… References; Leviticus 19: 28, Psalm 119:9, Lamentation 3:27, 2nd Timothy 3:16, 1st peter 4:10, Ephesians 4:28, John 3:16-17. The youth ministry is a notable arm that has a lot to do in uplifting the church today. Little wonder why Satan has concentrated on their souls, thus we see the aftermath effects of cultism, prostitution, stealing and all forms of immoral activities among them. Why won’t they tend to listen to the wrong message and the way of truth are kept miles away from them. There is no in-depth study to the word of God and there is so much awareness about the hypocrites of Satan. Psalm 119:9 reads; “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guiding it according to your Word”. It is by the word that youths can know the truth and right things to do, but can they know the word when the church doesn’t offer the right message which is the life, light and salvation. Lamentation 3:27 says “It is good for the man who bears the yoke in his youth”. The youthful stage is delicate and slippery as it’s a period where they possess full power to choose between life and death. It is either you serve God or be a servant to Satan. As for me; I chose life. II Timothy 3:16 reads; all scriptures is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness”. This scripture gives us an insight how important it is for a youth to be in the right church in where the real incorruptible Word is served. Youths are the most important people who needs the right spiritual feeding as they are the partaker of Christ. Though the bible doesn’t clearly indicate the ages of Jesus disciples, it’s evident that some of them were called in their youth; At least Jesus was a youth and his colleagues like him in his ministerial work. The twelve disciples were youths and they tremendously contribute to the progress of the ministry expect Judas; the killer. Ministries should create the following avenue for the spiritual growth of the youths; *Create room for youths to come together under same umbrella, *Equip and empower youths for a life of service in church. The youths should be empowered to explore the gift in which God has inclined to them through the ministry. *Ensure the integration of youths into all aspect of church life and making them full participants in the mission of God. DAMILOLA FATUASE Imoleayo Oluwadamilola Fatunase, from Ekiti State, born on 5th of May and Engaged. I attend Church of the Lord [Aladura] and Living Faith Church [Winners Chapel]. I currently sing in the choir. Career Profile: Journalism, CEO/MD of Imoleayo Beauty World and Imoleayo Arts Inspiration/motivation: Is never too late to start all over. Driving Force: “they that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion which cannot be removed but abideth forever”. Greatest expectation as believer: The Kingdom of heaven.. Favorite Scripture: John 11:25 My goal in life: To teach and bring people to the kingdom of God and be Super successful in life. THE WORD AND POWER Matthew 14:29, "And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus." MATTHEW 14:29This one word "come" was spoken by the one who made all things (Jn. 1:3) and it had just as much power in it as the words that were spoken at creation. This is where the power came from for Peter to walk on the water. Likewise, any word spoken to us by God carries in itself the anointing and power it takes to fulfill that word, if we... will release it by believing it and acting on it. We need not only know God's power, but the greatness of God's power, and then the exceeding greatness of God's power. This exceeding greatness of God's power is towards us. That means that it is for us and our benefit. Some people get glimpses of God's power, but very few have the revelation that it is for us and at our disposal. It doesn't do us any good to believe that God has power if we don't believe that it will work for us. This great power of God is effectual only for those who believe. We must believe to receive, or if we doubt, we do without. Despite all the criticism that might be leveled at Peter in this instance, he did walk on the water. There were eleven other disciples in the boat, although they clearly saw Jesus and Peter walking on the water, they still did not participate. One of the important steps in receiving a miracle from God is to leave the security of your natural resources (get out of your boat) and put yourself in the position where there has to be a miracle from God to hold you up. God is no respecter of persons (Rom. 2:11). Any of the disciples could have walked on the water, if they would have asked and gotten out of the boat TOYIN BELLO Deke Sunday Vincent, from Delta State born on 21st July and engaged. I encounter Christ when I gained admission in the university and I was privileged to meet bro Olaolu at University of Ilorin. I graduated from university of Ilorin where I studied Agricultural Extension. Ive worked as Human Resource personnel at Skill Edge Consulting Firm Abuja. Presently I run a dry cleaning and laundry business with some group of my friends called “CLEAN SPIRIT” and also work with Mr. Steve Ayu publishing firm as marketing sales personnel. I love matt 6:33 and I believe I can do all things through Christ that strengthen me. Driving force: With God Nothing Shall be Impossible. The Word of God is my inspiration, and I expect to be addicted to the Kingdom of God thereby accomplishing unimaginable feats in the pursuit of my purpose in life. I strongly believe I am too loaded to be a failure because I have the life of God in me. My goal is: To influence and impact the world for Christ through pursuing my purpose in life, growing to reach the maximum potential and sowing seeds to benefit others. UNDERSTANDING THE DEMAND OF DISCIPLINE I discipline my body like an athlete training it to do what it should otherwise I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. 1Cor 9:27 NLT Discipline is what you need to get you to where you want to go. It is denying yourself certain privilege for you to reach your goals. It is the capital price you pay for every desire change that you want. One of the characteristics of greatness is having self-imposed discipline. A life without discipline is like a car without a control system (a brake) and such life is heading for a crash. Many believer lack self-control which has affected their walk with God, you cannot serve God on your terms; you have to serve him on his own terms. The problem of Adam and Eve could be traced to discipline. If they were more disciplined, they wouldn’t have eaten the fruit that God told them not to eat. Discipline is doing what is instructed (commanded) not what is convenient. Adam and Eve did what was convenient and they were severely punished; they were driven out of the Garden of Eden by God. It takes discipline to make the most out of life. A life that lacks discipline will not know what to accept and what to reject. Where you will be in the next 5years is a product of how discipline you are now. 1 Cor 6:12 says “All things are lawful unto me but all things are not expedient……” there is need for every believer to be disciplined in all areas of life. Example, dress simple and decent, talk when it is necessary, relate with friend with sense of purpose, eat when is it necessary, avoiding unnecessary visit and traveling without sense of mission, sleep less hours, spend less time watching Television, be prudent in your spending... In conclusion the door is never shut to anyone who is determined to succeed in life and ministry and discipline is one of the per-requisite for success. Men of discipline are men of focus they will do anything to fight distraction because they know where they are going. You can’t be disciplined and lose focus in life. The willingness to discipline yourself; to delay immediate gratifications in the short term in order to enjoy greater reward in the long term is the indispensable pre-rquisite for success. I leave with the words of George Washington; “Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes number formable, it procure success to the weak and esteem to all. Esteem is a product of Discipline”. SHALOM!!! SUNDAY EGERE GROWING IN LOVE Rom. 5:5 for the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost In this life that we are in, all we need do is to love God, if we want to be successful. Your greatest success in life is directly how far you have walked with God, how far you have fellowshipped with him and how far you have walked in God’s realm. All these things cannot be done without love. Growing in love is the same thing as growing in God because God is love. Many find it difficult to love God, while some do not know how to love God. The bible says: the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts. The day you gave your heart to Christ, the love of God was given to you also. You do not need to go to the mountain to pray or fast for love; you already have it. All you need to do is use it! The very day you receive the life of God, the love of God was given to you, the God kind of Love and the God nature of love. Do you know that God’s kind of love is very amazing, in that when we were yet sinners, He loved us and gave his Son for us. The best way to know God’s love and to manifest it is by looking at Jesus’ lifestyle; Christ ways and character really point to how we can love unconditionally. The only way to prove that you are Jesus’ followers is to do what he does. If we love one another and allow the love of God dominate our heart, it would make a difference in our lives. It would cure the ills in our homes. One of the ways to grow in Christ is through love. You can grow in love in other to grow in Christ. The God Kind of love is not interested in “what I can get”, but in “what i can give”. God give all for us when we were nothing. What are you willing to give to God? Some people usually hold tight to their property and lots more, yet, it is nothing compared to what God gave you. Love is giving, it might not necessarily be money, but you can give many other things like your time, talent and ultimately your life. Remember God is the reason for your existence. Live for God and your life will be the best it can ever be. Titilayo Matthew Titilayo Matthew, born on 18th November, from Lagos State and single.
